Moskalenko, Nadiia

Moskalenko, Nadiia [Москаленко, Надія], b 20 June 1928 in Dnipropetrovsk. Linguist; daughter of Artem Moskalenko. After graduating from Odesa University in 1952, she continued her studies at the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute (candidate’s diss, 1956) and lectured there (1958–60). She taught Ukrainian language at Odesa University (1960–85) and Bordeaux University (1976–8) in France. She wrote a monograph on the history of Ukrainian grammatical terminology (1959) and on the history of Ukrainian punctuation terminology (1959), and articles on stylistics and syntax.
