Mykolaiv Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy [Миколаївський український театр драми і музичної комедії; Mykolaivskyi ukrainskyi teatr dramy i muzychnoi komedii]. A theater established in Mykolaiv in 1959 as an oblast musical-drama theater on the basis of the oblast Shevchenko Ukrainian Drama Touring Theater and the local young spectator's theater. Its repertoire has consisted of Ukrainian, Russian, and world classics, and Soviet plays, such as Oleksander Korniichuk’s Storinka shchodennyka (Page from a Diary) and V. Lukashov’s musical comedy Volodymyrs'ka hirka (Saint Volodymyr’s Hill). Since 1988 its artistic director has been Mykola Bernson.
