Pachovsky, Teoktyst

Pachovsky, Teoktyst [Пачовський, Теокист; Pačovs’kyj], b 18 February 1907 in Strutyn Vyzhnii, Dolyna county, Galicia, d 30 December 1984 in Lviv. Slavist. He graduated from Lviv University (PH D, 1938), where he taught from 1933. He wrote articles on Old Ukrainian literature and on Ukrainian-Polish literary relations (particularly vis-à-vis Taras Shevchenko and Ivan Franko).
