Tendriv Spit

Tendriv Spit. Map: VII-12. A long, narrow strip of land situated off the southwestern corner of Kherson oblast in the Black Sea. The spit is nearly 65 km long and up to 1.8 km wide. It consists mainly of sand deposits and provides a sanctuary and wintering ground for birds. It also separates Tendriv Bay from the Black Sea.
