Ukraïna (1907)

Ukraïna (1907) (Ukraine). A journal of Ukrainian studies, published in Kyiv in 1907 (four issues). It was the continuation of Kievskaia starina and the first Ukrainian-language scholarly journal in Russian-ruled Ukraine. Ukraïna contained articles on Ukrainian history, literature, and culture, belles lettres, and surveys of Ukrainian literary and theatrical affairs and press. Among the contributors were Ivan Franko, Ivan Nechui-Levytsky, Ivan M. Steshenko, and Vasyl Domanytsky. The editor and publisher was Volodymyr Naumenko.
