A mutual benefit society founded by members of the Ukrainian National Home Association in Winnipeg in November 1921. In 1925 it obtained a Dominion charter and began to organize branches across Canada. Incorporation in 1943 has enabled it to offer a wide variety of life insurance plans. Among its leaders have been I. Trach, Myroslaw Stechishin, W. Dowhanyk, Taras Ferley, Ivan Syrnyk, and S. Radchuk. Intended initially to be a nonpartisan association, the society has maintained an informal affiliation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada.
