Vsevolod Sviatoslavych Chermny

Vsevolod Sviatoslavych Chermny [Svjatoslavyč Čermnyj], b ?, d 1212 or September 1215. Kyivan Rus’ prince; son of Sviatoslav III Vsevolodovych and father of Mykhailo Vsevolodovych. He took part in campaigns against the Cumans in 1183 and 1191. He became prince of Chernihiv ca 1204, probably after the death of his brother, Oleh Sviatoslavych. In 1206–10 he unsuccessfully fought Riuryk (Vasylii) Rostyslavych and Mstyslav Romanovych for the Kyivan throne.
