Zhydychyn Saint Nicholas's Monastery

Zhydychyn Saint Nicholas's Monastery (Жидичинський манастир св. Миколая; Zhydychynskyi manastyr sv. Mykolaia). A monastery located near Lutsk, Volhynia. Records of it date from as early as the 13th century. After the Church Union of Berestia it joined the Uniate church, and in 1608–1826 it was the residence of the Uniate bishop of Lutsk and Ostroh, who also served as its archimandrite. The main church and bishop's residence were built in 1723. The monastery was closed in 1839 by Nicholas I.
