Zyz

Zyz («Зиз»; Cross-eye). A semimonthly and then monthly magazine of humor and satire, published in Lviv in 1924–33. It was edited by Lev Lepky and, later, Edvard Kozak, who was also the chief illustrator from 1926. Contributors included Oles Babii, Mykola Vorony, Vasyl Hirny, R. Holiian, T. Krushelnytsky, Anatol Kurdydyk, Roman Kupchynsky, Yaroslav Kurdydyk, and Mykhailo Rudnytsky. Caricatures were supplied by Pavlo Kovzhun, Mykola Butovych, Osyp Sorokhtei, Petro P. Kholodny, Robert Lisovsky, and R. Chornii. In 1930 it had a pressrun of 1,450.
