Dosvitni ohni

Dosvitni ohni (Dawn Fires). A collection of works by Ukrainian writers published in Kyiv in 1906. The editor was Borys Hrinchenko. It contained selections from almost every Ukrainian poet, beginning with Ivan Kotliarevsky, to the end of the 19th century, among them Taras Shevchenko, Yurii Fedkovych, and Ivan Franko. The collection began with Lesia Ukrainka's poem ‘Dosvitni ohni.’ The prose selections consisted of excerpts from the novels and stories of Ivan Nechui-Levytsky, Mykhailo Yatskiv, Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky, and others. Several songs by Mykola Lysenko were included. The collection also contained translations of Homer, William Shakespeare, H. Heine, H. Ibsen, and A. Negri.
