Hryn Ivanovych

Hryn Ivanovych [Hryn’ Ivanovyč], b ? in Zabłudów, Belarus, d ? Engraver of the 16th century. As Ivan Fedorovych (Fedorov)’s helper, he was sent to learn engraving with Lavrentii Fylypovych-Pukhalsky (1577–8). Then he worked as an engraver and type founder in Ostroh (the Ostroh Press, 1579–81), Vilnius (1582), and Lviv (the Lviv Dormition Brotherhood Press, 1583).
