Nove mystetstvo

Nove mystetstvo («Нове мистецтво»; New Art). An illustrated journal of the arts, published in Kharkiv in 1925–8 (a total of 89 issues). An organ of the Chief Ukrainian Administration of Political Education, it contained articles on literary and artistic developments in Ukraine and abroad, on political affairs (especially Ukrainization), theater and literary criticism, and reviews and devoted considerable attention to the Ukrainian theater. It was edited by M. Khrystovy and Vasyl Khmury. Oleksander Dovzhenko was one of its illustrators.
