Prochaska, Antoni

Prochaska, Antoni, b 23 March 1852 in Zalishchyky Mali, Chortkiv circle, Galicia, d 23 September 1930 in Lviv. Polish historian; member of the Polish Academy of Learning from 1891. He was a specialist in the history of the 14th- and 15th-century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. From 1878 he was a curator in the Lviv archives. His writings include works about the Church Union of Berestia (1896), the Polish king Władysław II Jagiełło (2 vols, 1908), and the Lithuanian grand duke Vytautas the Great (1914).
