Rehman, Antoni

Rehman, Antoni, b 15 May 1840 in Cracow, Poland, d 12 January 1917 in Lviv. He was appointed a professor of geography at Lviv University in 1882. He conducted several botanical expeditions to southern Africa, the Crimea, and Podilia. His two-volume survey Ziemie dawnej Polski i sąsiednich krajów słowiańskich (Lands of Ancient Poland and the Adjoining Slavic Territories, 1895, 1904) served for many years as an important reference work about Ukraine’s geography and flora.
