Salo, Liudvyh

Salo, Liudvyh [Сальо, Людвиг; Sal'o, Ljudvyh], b 1853 in Kolomyia, d 4 May 1915 in Lviv. Pedagogue; specialist in classical philology and mathematics. He taught at the gymnasium in Kolomyia from 1893 and at the Academic Gymnasium of Lviv from 1905. In 1894–8 he headed the Shkilna Pomich society. He was a member of the Teachers' Hromada in Lviv and served as director of the Ukrainian private secondary school section of the Provincial School Union from 1911.
