Senyshyn, Lev

Senyshyn, Lev [Сенишин, Лев; Senyšyn], b 14 September 1908 in Galicia, d 10 December 1957 in Toronto, Ontario. Journalist and caricaturist. In Lviv he illustrated the humor magazines Zhorna (1933–4) and Komar (1933–9) and worked as an editor for the Ukrainska Presa publishing house. As a postwar émigré he illustrated the satirical weekly Proty shersty (1946–7) in Landeck, Austria. After emigrating to Canada he edited the weekly Sport (1955–6) in Toronto and contributed articles and illustrations to the weekly Homin Ukraïny.
