Andriievsky, Petro [Андрієвський, Петро; Andrijevs'kyj], 23 October 1880 in Romny, Poltava gubernia, d 1 November 1945 in Warsaw. Veterinarian and biologist-bacteriologist. Andriievsky studied at the Kharkiv Veterinary Institute in 1899 and later worked in Kharkiv and Moscow. He was one of the founders of the Revolutionary Ukrainian party. After emigrating he taught at the Ukrainian Free University in Prague and did scientific research at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and in the French Sudan. From 1933 to 1939 he was a professor of veterinary medicine at Warsaw University. During the German occupation of Western Ukraine he directed the Lviv Veterinary Academy.
