Zherela do istoriï Ukraïny-Rusy [«Жерела до історії України-Руси»; Sources on the History of Ukraine-Rus’]. An 11-volume series published by the Archeographic Commission of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv from 1895 to 1924. The chief editor was Mykhailo Hrushevsky. Four volumes contain lustrations, detailed 16th- and 17th-century surveys of properties and economic and social conditions in Polish-ruled Western Ukrainian territories. Three contain documents pertaining to Galicia during the Cossack-Polish War (1648–57). Three others contain documents on the history of the Cossacks to 1632, including reports from papal nuncios in Ukraine at the time. The final volume contains part of Yakiv A. Markovych's diary from 1735 to 1740. Each of the volumes also contains a scholarly introduction and analyses by the volume editors, Hrushevsky, Myron Korduba, Stepan Tomashivsky, and Ivan Krypiakevych.
