Kalytovsky, Omelian

Kalytovsky, Omelian [Калитовський, Омелян; Kalytovs'kyj, Omeljan], b 13 March 1855 in Butyny, Zhovkva circle, Galicia, d 18 March 1924 in Lviv. Pedagogue. A graduate of Lviv University, he taught at the Academic Gymnasium of Lviv (1878–1900) and was the principal of the new Ukrainian gymnasium in Ternopil (1900–7). He was the author of schoolbooks and articles on historical and educational topics in the newspapers Dilo and Zoria (Lviv) (he edited the latter in 1886).
