Middle Dnipro Hydroelectric Station

Middle Dnipro Hydroelectric Station [Середньодніпровська ГЕС; Seredniodniprovska HES]. One of stations of the Dnipro Cascade of Hydroelectric Stations, built in Dniprodzerzhynsk (now Kamianske) between 1963 and 1965. Until 2016 it was called the Dniprodzerzhynsk Hydroelectric Station. Its 8 turbine generators (total capacity: 352,000 kW) produce an annual average output of 1.328 billion kWh. The Kamianske Reservoir on the Dnipro River was created as a result of the completion of the station’s dam.
