Tiutiunnyk, Vasyl

Tiutiunnyk, Vasyl [Tjutjunnyk, Vasyl’], b 1882 in Yenky, Khorol county, Poltava gubernia, d 20 December 1919 in Rivne, Volhynia gubernia. (Photo: Vasyl Tiutiunnyk.) Senior officer in the Army of the Ukrainian National Republic. He joined the UNR Army in 1917 as a colonel of the General Staff. During 1917–18 he served at the General Staff of the Army as chief of the operations department. In 1919 he was deputy chief of staff of the UNR Army, its supreme commander, and then its chief of staff. He died of typhoid.
