Ukraïns’ke muzykoznavstvo

Ukraïns’ke muzykoznavstvo [«Українське музикознавство»; Ukrainian Musicology]. An annual music journal established in 1966 in Kyiv by the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The journal, whose editorial board have included Mykola Hordiichuk, K. Maiburova, Stefaniia Pavlyshyn, Myroslav Skoryk, and Onysia Shreier-Tkachenko, deals with the history and theory of music, musicology, music performance, musical folklore, esthetics, and music criticism. Some issues—most notably no. 6, which discusses Ukrainian musical culture in the 16th to 18th centuries—focus on a single theme.
