Maliutsa, Antin [Малюца, Антін; Maljuca], b 2 February 1908 in Toky, Zbarazh county, Galicia, d 17 June 1970 in New York. Painter, graphic artist, and art critic. He studied at the Novakivsky Art School (1926–30) and State Institute of Plastic Art (1935–9) in Lviv and was a member of the RUB artists’ group. A postwar refugee, in 1950 he emigrated to the USA and settled in New York, where he was an executive member of the Literary-Artistic Club and the Ukrainian Artists' Association in the USA. He experimented with various printing techniques. He produced two series of drawings, ‘Horrors’ and ‘A Voyage in Darkness,’ and oils, engravings, and church murals, and wrote many articles on art for the Ukrainian émigré press.
